Teen Charged After Alleged Armed Assault In Chestertown

Chestertown Police have charged a 16-year-old Chestertown male as an adult with first- and second-degree assault after an alleged incident involving a firearm. The Evening Enterprise reports at this point, the Chestertown Police Department is withholding the teenager’s name. The teen also has been charged with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace-loud noise. He has a preliminary hearing in the District Court for Kent County on Wednesday, June 4, at which time a judge will determine if there is probable cause to believe the teen committed the offenses.
