Chestertown Police earlier this month responded to Walgreens in the 700-block of Washington Avenue for a reported shoplifting in progress. While en route, Chestertown Police Department officers were made aware that two women were allegedly attempting to take merchandise without paying for it when they were interrupted by store employees. A short time later, CPD officers located the two women inside the Dollar General store in Washington Square shopping center, where they allegedly were attempting to shoplift. Both women were taken into custody. They had outstanding warrants through other law enforcement agencies — Erica Anita Reeves, 39, of Millington on a district court warrant through the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office and Kaitlyn Ann Riley, 19, of Chestertown on two warrants through the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
