Summer Solstice Gathering

The Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River will host a Summer Solstice gathering at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, in honor of the northern hemisphere’s longest day of the year. Kent County News reports the event, which will take place outdoors in the church’s wooded garden at 914 Gateway Drive in the Crestview neighborhood, invites attendees to celebrate the alignment of the Earth with the sun with “joy, intention, and community.” The solstice occurs the day prior, marking the year’s longest day in terms of daylight.
