In a joint meeting Thursday, officials across Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties approved a shift in county cost shares for Chesapeake College’s new technical building. The Kent County News reports during the meeting, which was held at the college’s main campus in Queen Anne’s County, the five counties approved a total $9.02 million budget request made by the college for fiscal year 2026. The school’s budget is $1.31 million higher than its fiscal year 2025 budget.
