Several Areas At Matapeake Closing For Dredging, Beach Replenishment

The Queen Anne’s County Department of Parks and Recreation said several areas at Matapeake will be closed for a month for a dredging and beach replenishment project conducted by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources . Matapeake Landing (Fishing Pier & Boat Ramp), Matapeake Beach and Grounds and Matapeake Dog Park will be affected. This maintenance project is essential to preserving the shoreline and public access to these facilities.
