Back in May, the Chestertown Historic District Commission held a hearing and granted Washington College’s application for partial demolition of the Armory. Following the decision, a group of interested citizens filed a petition for judicial review and Washington College filed a motion to dismiss for lack of standing to bring the matter. Recently, the Circuit Court ruled in the college’s favor. The petitioners will have 30 days to appeal from the date the Court issues the order dismissing the matter.
