The maximum sentence doled out for a driver involved in a deadly accident in Queen Anne’s County in April of last year. Yassin Alallaq was 21 at the time, when their vehicle struck the driver side rear of another at 96 miles per hour on Route 301 in the area of Rolling Bridge Road. The other vehicle rolled three times before coming to rest, and the other driver, Barbara South of Queenstown was transported to Shock Trauma Center where she remained in a coma for two weeks before succumbing to her injuries. Alallaq pleaded guilty to criminally negligent manslaughter.
